For Langston is a celebration of Otherness. It strives to express the beautiful complexity that comprises our shared experiences.
The site was originally created in honor of Langston Hughes, but also for the artists, activists, and leaders who comprised the black Renaissance.
As the site evolves, I hope that it honors the collective Othered Renaissance so that it may be for the spirit of those who write, dance, sing, and engage in creative forms for the underrepresented, unseen, and unheard.
This is in celebration of us all.
